Hof am Leithaberge (Croatian: Cimof ) is a market town with 1550 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Bruck an der Leitha district in Lower Austria .

Hof am Leithaberge is located in the industrial district in Lower Austria. The area of the market town covers 22.07 km², 36.74% of the area is forested.

Place name
The name of both the market community and the place is .. am Leithaberge , while the cadastral community bears the former name of the community .. am Leithagebirge . This led to the curiosity that if you drove into “Hof am Leithaberge” when entering the town, but left “Hof am Leithagebirge” when exiting. Even today (2010) there is still no general name change to be seen, so the official documents of the own municipality mention “Hof am Leithaberge”, but various other authorities such as the district administration, state police , tax office and the post office call the municipality “Hof on the Leithagebirge “.

Population development
According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 1376 inhabitants. In 1991 the market town had 1,309 inhabitants, 1,172 in 1981 and 1,078 in 1971.

Economy and Infrastructure
In 2001 there were 46 non-agricultural workplaces, and according to the 1999 survey there were 50 in agriculture and forestry. According to the 2001 census, the number of people in employment at the place of residence was 665. The employment rate in 2001 was 48.98%; there was an annual average of unemployed in the area 2003 27.
