IC 13 is a spiral galaxy from the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation fish on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 261 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years in diameter .
The Type II supernova SN 2006J was observed here.
The object was discovered on November 10, 1892 by Stéphane Javelle .
