IC 25 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Whale south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 265 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 80,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 15 and IC 21 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on August 27, 1892 .
