IC 20 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0? in the constellation whale south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 350 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 60,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 135 , IC 16 , IC 23 , among others .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 3, 1891 .
