The International Hockey League (IHL) is a supranational ice hockey league organized by the Slovenian Ice Hockey Association HZS . In addition to Slovenian teams, clubs from Croatia and Serbia take part. The 2017/18 season was the league's first season.
Emergence
Serbian and Croatian teams took part in the Slovenian ice hockey league in previous years . For the 2017/18 season, the league, which was originally supposed to be called Mednarodno hokejsko ligo (MHL), will be reorganized. Among other things, the participating clubs have to pay a registration fee. The model is the Alps Hockey League (AlpsHL), in which Slovenian clubs also participate.

Winners list
Slovenian Championship
The Slovenian IHL clubs take part in the Slovenian championship, alongside the Slovenian participants in the AlpsHL and other teams. The games of the Slovenian teams in the IHL count internally for the championship.
Youth leagues
In addition to the senior championship, the Slovenian association also supports IHL youth leagues in the grades (2017 to 2019) U18, U16, U14 and U12 or (2019/20) U19 (Mladinci), U17 (Kadeti), U15 (Dečki) and U13 (Mlajši dečki) ) out. The EC VSV and the EC KAC from the Austrian state of Carinthia also partly take part in the leagues .
