James Norris Memorial Trophy (IHL)
The James Norris Memorial Trophy was an ice hockey trophy of the International Hockey League (IHL) from 1956 until the league was dissolved in 2001. The goalkeeper with the lowest average goal conceded was awarded.
The trophy is named after James E. Norris , the former owner of the Detroit Red Wings from 1932 until his death in 1952. It was first awarded in 1956.
