Jaroslav Brabec (athlete)
Jaroslav Brabec (born July 27, 1949 in Litoměřice ; † May 20, 2018 ) was a Czechoslovak shot putter .
In 1972 he won bronze at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Grenoble and was tenth at the Olympic Games in Munich .
A victory at the Indoor European Championships 1973 in Rotterdam was followed by bronze at the Indoor European Championships in 1974 in Gothenburg and fourth place at the Indoor European Championships in 1975 in Katowice .
At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he was eleventh. He finished sixth at the European Championships in 1978 in Milan and 1979 in Vienna .
Eight times he was Czechoslovak outdoor champion (1971–1973, 1975, 1976, 1979, 1981, 1982) and five times indoors (1971, 1973, 1975, 1978, 1979).
