James "Jim" John Langer (* 16th May 1948 in Little Falls , Minnesota ; † 29. August 2019 ) was a former American American football poker players on the position of the center . He played after his college career ( South Dakota State ) from 1970 first for the Miami Dolphins and then until 1981 for the Minnesota Vikings . Langer reached the NFL final, the Super Bowl , three times in a row with the Miami Dolphins , and won it twice. He played every offensive down during the 1972 Miami Dolphins' Perfect Season . In 1987 he entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame .
