José Aguilar Álvarez

José Aguilar Álvarez (born July 20, 1902 in Mexico City , † 1959 ) was a Mexican medic and briefly rector of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

biography

Aguilar Álvarez attended the Colegio Francés and graduated from the Escuela Nacional Preparatoria . In March 1923 he received his professional examination and from 1925 was a lecturer in topographical anatomy at the Escuela Nacional de Medicina . From July 1938 to July 1942 he was director of the Escuela Nacional de Medicina, the medical faculty of the UNAM. From August 3 to 7, 1944, he ruled UNAM as rector for a short time and taught there until his death.
