Judith Hoersch
Judith Hoersch (born March 15, 1981 in Cologne ) is a German actress , singer and voice actress .
biography
Judith Hoersch is the daughter of a make-up artist and the music journalist Teddy Hoersch.
Hoersch made her debut in the WDR series Die Anrheiner (2001-2004) and in the RTL series Mein Leben & Ich (2000-2004). Even before her acting training, she took private acting and singing lessons. From 2001 to 2004 she completed the drama school at the German Center for Drama in Cologne, which she left when she was ready for the stage . Hoersch then went to Los Angeles on a scholarship to deepen her knowledge of the film world. She established herself in both the dramatic and comedic roles, among others in the comedy Im Spessart the ghosts are loose , Grünwald Friday Comedy and Sesame Street presents: A carrot for two . Since then she has worked in numerous TV and film productions. Since 2009 Hoersch has been working increasingly in Great Britain as an actress. They took a lead role in the ITV drama Albert's Memorial alongside David Jason and David Warner . She played the role of Colm Meaney's wife in The Driver . Hoersch also starred in the US movie A Cure for Wellness , directed by Gore Verbinski. The film was released worldwide in 2017 and was produced by New Regency Productions and Studio Babelsberg.
In 2005 she wrote and produced her first short film Marlen & Bijou and played one of the title roles. Another short film, Today is my day, followed in 2007 , in which she also played one of the leading roles and also sang the title song. Both films have won awards at international festivals. The latter received the rating "valuable". In 2009 she published her book debut The Asthmatic Rattle of the Fridge at Night - Sketches from a Big City with Short Stories and Tales.
Hoersch has been singing since high school. She made her musical debut "Minipop" with the Cologne producer Martin Becher and appeared in the opening act for Nits in 2012 .
Hoersch lives in Berlin. She supports the aid organization CARE , got involved with the earthquake victims in Haiti and supported some women’s projects and others. a. in Bosnia and Herzegovina .
