Kahnstieg is a district of the village of Dannefeld and the Hanseatic city of Gardelegen in the Altmark district of Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
The Kahnstieg residential area is located in the Drömling Nature Park in the Altmark , 21 kilometers west of the town of Gardelegen and 10 kilometers northeast of the town of Oebisfelde . To the east, the Dannefelder Moorgraben flows into the Friedrichskanal , which later flows into the Ohre .
history
The Kahnstieg residential area in the former Dannefeld community was created shortly before 1871. The community encyclopedia reports 20 inhabitants in the 1871 census.
Kahnstieg has been part of the Dannefeld community since 1985.
The much older pitcher Kahn Stieg at Algenstedt north of Gardelegen 1902 mentioned last time.
Incorporations
On January 1, 2011, the community of Dannefeld with the district Kahnstieg was incorporated into the Hanseatic city of Gardelegen together with 17 other communities. Since then, the district of Kahnstieg has belonged to the town of Gardelegen and the newly built town of Dannefeld.
