Ackendorf belongs to the locality Berge and is a district of the Hanseatic city Gardelegen in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt , Germany.
geography
The Altmark dead end village of Ackendorf is one kilometer south of Berge and around three kilometers northwest of Gardelegen. In the south of the village is the 60 meter high vineyard, in the north the 63 meter high Prahlberg and in the east the Wißberg, which is only 49 meters high.
history
In 1121 Ackendorf was first mentioned as Akendorp juxta Gardeleve , when the Bishop of Halberstadt Reinhard von Blankenburg transferred the place to the Schöningen monastery . Further mentions are Ackindorp in 1287 , Ackendorff in 1687 and finally Ackendorf in 1804.
During the land reform in 1945, three possessions over 100 hectares (together 337 hectares), 37 possessions under 100 hectares (709 hectares), two municipal holdings (four hectares) were recorded. Of this, 338 hectares were expropriated and 24.15 hectares divided: 5.3 hectares went to a poor farmer who owned less than five hectares and 18.8 hectares to two farm workers.
Incorporations
On July 1, 1950, the municipality of Ackendorf was incorporated into the municipality of Berge from the Gardelegen district . With the incorporation of Berge into the Hanseatic city of Gardelegen on July 1, 2009, the district of Ackendorf became part of Gardelegen.
