Laatzke belongs to the village of Berge and is a district of the Hanseatic city of Gardelegen in the Altmark district of Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
The Altmark Roundabout village Laatzke located one kilometer north of the mountains and about five kilometers northwest of Gardelegen. East of the village, the Berger Bäcke flows in a northeastern direction into the Milde .
history
The first written mention of Laatzke as Latzke comes from the year 1449 when the von Alvensleben exchanged their income from eight farms to the Neuendorf monastery . Further mentions come from 1460 achter dem dorpe Latzke , 1541 Loßcke and Laetzke . In 1804 the village will Laatzke and flop called.
The historian Peter Rohrlach points out that the first mention of Wilhelm Zahn in 1356 and that of Hermes and Weigelt in 1409 concern other places.
During the land reform in 1945, five properties over 100 hectares were recorded with a total of 574 hectares and 25 under 100 hectares with a total of 214 hectares, as well as a municipality holding four hectares. From the land reform, 62.7 hectares were divided. 10.1 hectares went to five poor farmers who owned less than five hectares, 3.3 hectares to a landless farmer and small tenant. Five resettlers received 49.1 hectares .
Incorporations
On July 1, 1950, the municipality of Laatzke from the district of Gardelegen was incorporated into the municipality of Berge . With the incorporation of Berge into the Hanseatic City of Gardelegen on July 1, 2009, the Laatzke district became part of Gardelegen.

The Protestant Christians from Laatzke are churched in the parish of Estedt, which formerly belonged to the parish of Estedt. Today the parish belongs to the parish of Estedt in the parish of Salzwedel in the Provostspengel Stendal-Magdeburg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany . Until 1998 the parish belonged to the parish of Gardelegen.
