The Kampener Vogelkoje on Sylt is a nature reserve in the Schleswig-Holstein municipality of Kampen (Sylt) in the district of North Friesland . The approximately 10 hectare nature reserve is registered under number 9 in the directory of nature reserves of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas (MLUR) of the State of Schleswig-Holstein. It was expelled in 1935 (date of regulation: March 18, 1935). The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of North Friesland.

The nature reserve is located in the north of the municipality of Kampen (Sylt) on the eastern edge of the island. It borders the North Sylt nature reserve in the north , the Wadden Sea nature reserve north of Hindenburgdamm in the east and the Nielönn / Sylt nature reserve in the south .

meaning

The nature reserve puts the oldest of the three bird beds on Sylt under protection. The bird bunk, set up in 1767, is a historic duck fishing facility. This was managed until 1935. The facility itself is around 4.5 hectares. It consists of a freshwater pond and is separated from the Wadden Sea by a dike . Two thatched bunk houses and one of the four whistles were rebuilt from 1986 to 1988 based on the historical model. They house an exhibition on the bird bunk. A nature trail runs through part of the nature reserve .

The nature reserve, which is managed by Sölring Foriining , is predominantly forested. The southern water pond drains into the Wadden Sea via a pipe outlet structure. The pipe is provided with a non-return valve.
