The Eichkratt Schirlbusch is a nature reserve in the Schleswig-Holstein municipality of Drelsdorf in the district of North Friesland .

The approximately 12  hectare nature reserve is registered under number 57 in the directory of nature reserves of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas. It was expelled in 1959 (date of regulation: February 20, 1959). The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of North Friesland.

The nature reserve is located east of Bredstedt between Drelsdorf and Kolkerheide . Most of it is part of the 14 hectare FFH area "Schirlbusch". The Eichkratt Schirlbusch is an oak forest on a dune rest that has been used as pasture for centuries . In order to preserve the typical vegetation, the coppice forest known as Kratt is partially set on the cane and the tall herbaceous meadows are mowed. To the west of the forest borders, that of low, schlechtwüchsigen oaks and large juniper is dominated happen on open moorland with a rich vegetation. Here come u. a. Common heather , gorse, sedge, adder tongue, bearberry and spotted piglet weed . In the eastern area of ​​the nature reserve there is also high forest .

The nature reserve, which is managed by the Association for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management Central North Friesland, is surrounded by agricultural land .
