The Wadden Sea north of the Hindenburgdamm is a nature reserve off the Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast in the district of North Friesland .

The 20,188  hectare nature reserve is registered with number 14 in the directory of nature reserves of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas. It was expelled in 1980 (date of regulation: November 1, 1980). The nature reserve "Vogelfreistätte Wadden Sea east of Sylt", which was designated in February 1937, was incorporated into it. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of North Friesland.
