Nielönn / Sylt is a nature reserve in the Schleswig-Holstein community of Kampen (Sylt) in the district of North Friesland .

The approximately 64  hectare nature reserve is registered under number 96 in the directory of nature reserves of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas. It was expelled in 1979 (date of regulation: March 5, 1979). The area name goes back to the Frisian "Nii Lön", which means something like "new territory", which is to be seen as an indication that the coastal strip was only created after the settlement of Sylt by humans. The nature reserve borders in the west on the nature reserve " North Sylt ", in the north on the nature reserve " Kampener Vogelkoje auf Sylt ", in the east on the nature reserve " Wadden Sea north of Hindenburgdamm " and in the southeast on the nature reserve " Braderuper Heide / Sylt ". It is part of the FFH area "Dune and Heathland North Sylt" and the EU bird sanctuary "Ramsar area Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea and adjacent coastal areas". The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of North Friesland. The area is looked after by the Söl'ring Foriining-Sylter Verein .

The nature reserve is north of Kampen (Sylt). It serves to protect and maintain foreland formations. The mostly flat terrain is occupied by salt marshes with various grasses and plants that are resistant to salt water. The transition zone between the foreland and the Wadden Sea is characterized by sandy areas.

The nature reserve, which is looked after by the Söl'ring Foriining-Sylter Verein, is home to numerous birds, including common snipe , golden plover , redshank , ruff , common woodcock , curlew and other limicoles , oystercatchers and shelduck . Reeds are u. a. Habitat for reed warbler and marsh harrier .
