King Hassan II Tournament 1996
The 1st King Hassan II Tournament took place on December 11th and 12th, 1996 in the city of Casablanca in the country of Morocco and was an invitation tournament for national soccer teams . In addition to the host Morocco , the selections from Croatia , the Czech Republic and Nigeria also took part. The tournament was played in a knockout system , the two semifinals were played on the first day, the next day the game for third place and the final.
Croatia secured the title with two successes on penalties , while hosts Morocco came third.
