The 1955/56 season was the tenth season of Class A as the highest Soviet ice hockey league . The Soviet championship title was secured for the fifth time by the ZSK MO Moscow , which won all of its 28 season games.

mode

The 15 teams of Class A played in the main round in a return match against each group opponent, whereby the number of games per team was 28. The team with the most points became champions. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
