history

Krempel was originally a heath village whose inhabitants lived from sheep and beekeeping as well as from the peat trade. In 1906 the village got the first telephone system and a post office. The place was connected to the electricity network in 1921 and to the public water network only in 1960. The village was included in the village renewal program in 1986, which led to improvements in the agricultural structure and quality of life. The results were also the redesign of the through-town and greenery.

The place originally belonged to the Neuenwalde office, only interrupted during the French period , when the village was assigned to the newly formed Commune Neuenwalde in the canton of Dorum . Later, Krempel belonged to the office Bederkesa (1852-1859) and to the office Lehe (1859-1885). With the introduction of the districts the place was in the district of Lehe (1885–1932), Wesermünde (1932–1977) and Cuxhaven (1977 – Dato). The village received the status of a rural community in 1840.

Incorporations

From 1971 to 1974, Krempel was a member community of the Neuenwalde joint community .

Since the regional reform in Lower Saxony , which took place on March 1, 1974, Krempel has belonged to the municipality, from 1990 to the city of Langen . On January 1, 2015, this merged with the municipalities of the Bederkesa municipality to form the new city of Geestland.

Krempel coat of arms
Blazon : "In silver a sixteen- pointed red sun over a black hill coveredwith a silver urn ."
Justification of the coat of arms: The sun over the hill indicates the "Sonnenberg", the symbol of the community. The urn with a handle is a reminder of the ancient finds.

Sonnenberg industrial park

A solar park has been set up in the Sonnenberg ( Lage ) industrial park , an area formerly used by the military . Where HAWK anti-aircraft missiles had been stationed since the end of the 1960s and where settlements could be detected in prehistoric times, a solar park has now been built on 11 hectares. The IFE Eriksen Group from Oldenburg installed 10,000 solar modules that send electricity to the grid with an output of 2.3 megawatts. ! 553.7173895508.7167505
