Lacs is about 35 kilometers southeast of Châteauroux . The municipality is crossed by the Igneraie river to the east . Lacs is surrounded by the neighboring communities Lourouer-Saint-Laurent in the north, Thevet-Saint-Julien in the northeast, Montlevicq in the east and southeast, Briantes in the south, La Châtre in the southwest and Montgivray in the west.
