The men's 50 km race at the 1950 European Athletics Championships was held on August 25, 1950 on the streets of the Belgian capital, Brussels .

With silver and bronze there were two medals for Sweden. European champion was the Italian Giuseppe Dordoni . John Ljunggren took second place. Bronze went to Verner Ljunggren .
