The museum is an exhibition and event location for all areas of architecture.
Railway park	Historic locomotives	The Augsburg Bahnpark is located on a section of the former Deutsche Bahn AG depot. Twenty-nine historic locomotives from the member states of the EU including Switzerland are exhibited in an old roundhouse.
Brechthaus	Life and work of Bertolt Brecht	The house where the poet and writer Bertolt Brecht was born in the Lechviertel is now home to an exhibition on the life and work of what is probably the city's most famous son, with a special focus on his time in Augsburg.
German Baroque Gallery	Art at the time of the baroque	The German Baroque Gallery is located in the Schaezlerpalais and is dedicated to works by artists who lived and worked during the Baroque era. Not only paintings but also statues and other works are exhibited.
The box - Museum of the Augsburger Puppenkiste	Puppet theater	Since the renovation of the Heilig-Geist-Spital the Puppenkiste has had its own museum: in a permanent exhibition the famous stars like Urmel, Jim Knopf and Kalle Wirsch are shown. In special exhibitions that change every four months, figures from the stock as well as from other theaters and collections on various, often current, puppet theater topics are presented.
Diocesan Museum of St. Afra	History of the Diocese of Augsburg	The church museum St. Afra presents the history of the diocese of Augsburg - one of the oldest in Germany - with a large number of exhibits.
Ice hockey museum	ice Hockey	The ice hockey museum is located next to the Plärrer and exhibits various exhibits by famous ice hockey players at home and abroad, for example the estate of Gustav Jaenecke. Canoe Museum	Canoeing	The canoe museum near the ice canal was opened on July 17, 2003 and shows exhibits from the more than 80-year history of canoeing in Augsburg on several levels. In addition to the sport itself and the developments in techniques, special attention is also paid to the people who have made a special contribution to the “canoeing capital Augsburg” - athletes as well as politicians or other sponsors.
Karl and Magdalene Haberstock Foundation	art	The Karl and Magdalene Haberstock Foundation, often referred to as the Haberstock Collection, is an art collection in the Schaezlerpalais in the old town. It exhibits works from the former private collection of the Munich art dealer Karl Haberstock , including paintings by Canaletto, Lucas Cranach the Elder, Giovanni Battista Tiepolo and Paolo Veronese.
Walter Art Museum	art	The Art Museum Walter shows the private collection of the entrepreneur Prof. Ignatz Walter on 5,500 m². The focus of the collection is contemporary art. The highlight is the glass art by Egidio Costantini, whose numerous works were created in collaboration with artists such as Picasso, Miró and Braque.
Lettl Museum for Surreal Art	Surreal art	The Augsburg surrealist Wolfgang Lettl, who died in 2008, left a work of over 500 pictures. In accordance with the artist's wish to preserve his work in the city of Augsburg and make it accessible to the public, the Wolfgang Lettl - Association for the Promotion of Surreal Art e. V. founded. The Lettl Atrium existed in Augsburg from 1993 to 2013 . On December 18, 2019, the Lettl Museum was opened in the heart of the city on the 100th birthday of Wolfgang Lettl.
Luther stairs	History of the Reformation	The Luther Staircase was set up in 1983 for the 500th year of Martin Luther's birth in the adjoining rooms of today's parish church of St. Anna and deals with the events that led to the Reformation and the associated division of what was then still a church. A special focus is the crucial conversation between Luther and Cardinal Cajetan, a legate of the Roman Curia, which took place in Augsburg in 1518.
MAN museum	History of MAN AG	The factory museum of MAN AG (Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg) deals with the history and technical achievements of the company, which originally comes from Augsburg. In the 1,800 m² exhibition there are numerous documents on MAN AG and Rudolf Diesel, the inventor of the diesel engine, as well as a number of machines and vehicles from the past and present. The world's first diesel engine, a test engine from 1895, is a particular highlight.
Maximilian Museum	Art , traveling exhibitions	The city's Maximilian Museum is one of the most important museums in the city and, in addition to permanent exhibitions, a. Show sculptures, goldsmith's art, building drafts and city history collections, also changing exhibitions on various topics.

New gallery in the Höhmannhaus	art	The Neue Galerie im Höhmannhaus is an international forum for contemporary art from the Augsburg Municipal Art Collections. Oberhauser Museum Parlor	History of the Oberhausen district	The museum parlor in Oberhausen is dedicated to the history of the district, which was independent for many centuries and which was incorporated into Augsburg in 1911.

Turbine Museum	Turbine technology	Located together with the Augsburg Ski Museum in the old factory castle, the Turbine Museum deals with the technology of the turbines of the former spinning and weaving mill, which was previously housed in this building.
Waterworks at the high drain	Waterworks hydroelectric plant	Technology museum and drinking water information center for the Augsburg drinking water supply of Stadtwerke Augsburg . It was the first Augsburg waterworks built for the central drinking water supply in the city. It was in operation until 2007 and after its closure it will serve as a hydroelectric power station to generate electricity.
