List of the tributaries of the Fils
overview
The Fils is a river in the Baden-Württemberg district of Göppingen and finally also Esslingen with a catchment area of about 707 km², about 63 km long from the Fils origin to the mouth . The Fils rises in the Swabian Alb behind a mountain range on the Albtrauf that is separated from its upper reaches from the rest of the low mountain range and initially runs approximately east-northeast to Geislingen an der Steige ; there it turns left at a distinctive bend in the river to the north-north-west, leaving the Alb into its foreland and then flowing more and more west to Plochingen , where it finally flows westwards and from the right into the Neckar knees there .
Their tributaries in the area of the Alb often arise from the typical landscape sparse, but rich karst springs; Its courses are usually shorter compared to the streams that flow into it in the foreland.

List of all Fils tributaries
- The following table shows the major tributaries of the Fils.
- With the stationing (stat.) Of the tributary, its water body number , the tributary side, its length, the area of the sub-catchment area (EZG) contributed by it, the mouth location and the mouth height as well as the source location and the source height. Other sources for the information are noted in each case.
- For better readability, a separator (-) has been added to the water code behind the prefix common to all tributaries, which is the water code of the Fils themselves. For comparison, the fils themselves were also highlighted in color .
- Inflow length basically with the overflow sequence on the main strand, even where this may be called differently.
- Mühlgräben and other outgoing and returning branches were not taken into account. In the event of a tributary flowing into such a station, the aforementioned stationing was determined by overpowering the main run.

Remarks
- ↑ a b c The river code number, called the river code number in Germany , is a unique identifier for each recorded river course. Here with a separator behind the prefix for easier readability, which stands for the Fils receiving water that is common to all .
- ↑ The stationing of a tributary is the distance from the mouth of the receiving stream , here the Fils, on its course up to the inflow of the tributary concerned.
- ↑ All but the most elementary rivers flow together from many tributaries and upper courses. What is commonly called a river or stream, namely a maximum stretch of flowing water with the same name, is often incomplete in the hydrological sense - because the section does not begin at any source, but only below it, in that all the upper reaches have a different name - or it is not representative of the river system drained by it - because the path of the so-called section up the stream system continues in the less important of two merging upper courses in terms of water flow. Hydrologically more relevant than the common everyday running section of the same name, which is dependent on the historical coincidences of the naming, is therefore the so-called main strand, i.e. the strand in the uphill flowering water system which, viewed upstream, follows the more important branch at each division. For more information, see the naming of main rivers and tributaries .
