Lucie Reed (* 17th July 1974 as Lucie Zelenková in Karl-Marx-Stadt , Democratic German Republic ) is a Czech triathlete , Olympian (2004) and Ironman -Siegerin (2009), which starts today for South Africa.
Career
Lucie Zelenková has been a professional athlete in triathlon since 1999.
2004 Summer Olympics
She started in Athens in 2004 for the Czech Republic at the Olympic Games in Athens, but could not finish the race. She was trained by Brett Sutton .
Lucie Zelenková competes in Germany for TV Lemgo and since January 2009 for the TBB team . In 2009 she won the Ironman in South Africa and was also able to win there at half the distance ( Ironman 70.3 ). At the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii she finished 14th in October.
In July 2011 she came second at the Ironman European Championship in Frankfurt am Main. At Ironman Sweden , she finished second in August 2016. In September 2018 she was fifth at the ETU European Championship on the long distance triathlon as part of the Challenge Almere-Amsterdam .
In February 2011 she married Kurt Reed and has since started as Lucie Reed . Lucie Reed lives with her husband in Johannesburg , South Africa.
