Mario Traxl

Mario Traxl (born May 30, 1964 in Münchendorf ) is a former Austrian cyclist .

Mario Traxl, a member of the “Innsbrucker Schwalben”, was twice Austrian state champion in road races in 1989 and 1994. Several times during his cycling career he achieved stage victories at the Tour of Austria .

In 1987 Traxl drove together with Johann Lienhart , Bernhard Rassinger and Helmut Wechselberger to third place overall in the 100 km team time trial at the UCI Road World Championships in Villach . In the individual road race he was the best Austrian as 14th. In 1988 he took part in the Olympic Games in Seoul and finished 22nd in the road race.
