Kurt Postl

Kurt Postl (born August 13, 1937 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

In 1956 he drove his first tour of Austria (he was 19th), in 1958 he was sixth. In his five participations he won a total of three stages. Postl won his first state championship in 1959 when he won the road race title fight . Together with his partner Ruelke , he was also national champion in tandem races on the track. A year later he was double champion on the road; he won the road race and also the team time trial . He was a participant in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome and came in 42nd place in the individual race. In the same year he became a professional driver in the Italian team Ignis. He competed in the Tour de Suisse in 1961 and was classified 14th there. In 1962 he was reamateurised.
