Christian Frisch (cyclist, 1938)

Christian Frisch (* 1938 in Donawitz ) is a former Austrian cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

On his first tour of Austria in 1958, he was classified as 16th. Frisch started a total of nine times on the domestic tour, won a total of four stages and finished all tours. Twice, in 1966 and 1967, he was Großglocknerkönig , ie he was the first to cross the Großglockner on each stage. His best round trip result was third place in 1964 when Edy Schütz won . Also in 1958 he had his first foreign assignment for the national team in the Tour of Poland , which he finished in 51st.
In 1966, Frisch won the Austrian state championship in road racing ahead of Hans Furian .
