Arnold Ruiner (born February 8, 1937 in Tesswitz , † October 28, 2011 in Wallendorf ) was an Austrian cyclist. He was one of the best racing drivers in his country in the late 1950s / early 1960s.

Athletic career

Arnold Ruiner drove for the Union Peterquelle and Union Creme-Lanol ​​clubs . In 1960 he started at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome and finished 35th in the road race as the best Austrian.

Ruiner was Austrian national champion four times: in 1960, 1961 and 1965 in the team time trial, and in 1962 in the road race. He competed five times in the UCI Road World Championships and ten times in the Tour of Austria . In 1959 he finished fifth in the overall standings and in 1965 eighth. In 1962 he took 24th place in the International Peace Tour.
