Richard Durlacher (born June 6, 1932 in Stubenberg , Styria ) is a former Austrian cyclist .

Richard Durlacher first drove as a cyclist for ARBÖ Leoben , then for ARBÖ Puch , where he also worked.

In 1955 he won the Vienna-Rabenstein-Gresten-Vienna race and a stage of the Tour of Austria . In 1956, he finished fourth in the overall ranking of the Tour of Austria and won the Tour of Burgenland, as he won a second time in 1957. In the Tour of Austria in 1957, he came fourth.

In 1958 Durlacher won both the Tour of Austria and the first edition of the British Milk Race stage , and he finished second at Vienna-Rabenstein-Gresten-Vienna. In his only year as a professional (1959) he started in an international team with drivers from Denmark , Great Britain , Ireland , Poland and Portugal in the Tour de France , but gave up after the tenth stage. In the same year he set a twelve-hour record of 416.4 kilometers, which was to last for 30 years.
