Hans Summer (born October 24, 1951 in Dietersdorf ) is a former Austrian cyclist .

In 1972 Hans Summer took part in the Olympic Games in Munich and was the youngest Austrian cycling participant to finish 10th in the team time trial (with Siegfried Denk , Roman Humenberger and Rudolf Mitteregger ) and 46th in the road race. This Olympic participation was to be followed by two more: at the 1976 Games in Montreal , he finished 15th in the team time trial over 100 kilometers (with Humenberger, Mitteregger and Leo Karner ) and four years later, in Moscow, 13th (with Johann Lienhart , Peter Muckenhuber and Herbert Spindler ).

In 1977 Summer became Austrian national champion in the elite road race. In addition to several stage victories in the Tour of Austria , he also won the Vienna-Rabenstein-Gresten-Vienna race (1977) and the Uniqua Classic (1979).

Hans Summer is the father of racing cyclist Jochen Summer .
