Music, Dance and Rhythm is an American animated film , produced by the Walt Disney studios and distributed by RKO at the time. After Fantasia and Make Mine Music , Melody Time 1948 is the third attempt by the Disney studios to translate popular melodies into short animated film episodes. Well-known artists of the time such as the Andrews Sisters or Ethel Smith with their organ interpret Schlager, jazz and American folklore ( Johnny Appleseed - Hänschen Apfelkern ). The musical mélange was only evaluated once in cinemas. The episodes were later cut and appeared in supporting programs. Johnny Appleseed had the longest life . Music, Dance and Rhythm is the tenth film in the Disney series and has had only moderate success.
