The Haier Shooting Stars Competition was a basketball competition hosted by the National Basketball Association during the NBA All-Star Weekend through 2015. The competition always took place on the Saturday before the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday. Each time four teams took part in the competition, each representing the hometown of their club. Each team consisted of an active NBA player, an active WNBA player and a former NBA player. During the competition, each player on a team had to throw onto the basket from six different positions within a time limit of 2 minutes (per team). The first throw must be thrown from the right corner of the field at a distance of 3 m. The second throw must be thrown from the left corner of the field at a distance of 4.5 m. The third throw is a normal three-point throw. The fourth throw must be thrown from the right and the fifth from the left baseline, at a distance of 5.5 m. The last throw is thrown from the center line. The two best teams finally compete against each other in a final round.

Since the NBA All-Star Game 2004 , the competition has been held annually as part of the All-Star Weekend. The teams from San Antonio and Detroit are the only ones to win this competition twice. The best time, with 25.1 seconds, was set by the team from San Antonio in the 2006 NBA All-Star Game .
