NGC 3975 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Ursa Major at the northern sky . It is an estimated 446 million light years from the Milky Way .
The object was discovered on February 21, 1874 by the astronomer Lawrence Parsons, 4th Earl of Rosse .
