NGC 4392 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 + in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 326 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxy NGC 4389 is located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 27, 1788 .
