NGC 4408 is a lenticular S0- type galaxy in the constellation Haar der Berenice in the northern sky. It is about 336 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 70,000 light years .
The object was discovered on April 21, 1865 by the German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
