NGC 4370 is an edge-on galaxy in the Virgo galaxy cluster in the constellation of the same name . It has been classified as a lenticular galaxy in several studies, although the morphology is difficult to determine due to the angle of observation. It is around 32 million light years from the Milky Way . In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4334 , NGC 4365 , NGC 4366 and IC 3322 .
NGC 4370 was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 13, 1784 .
