NGC 4829 is a 14.8 likes bright elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E3 in the constellation Virgo . It was discovered together with NGC 4820 and NGC 4823 in a single observation in 1882 by Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel , who noted "Quite close to the south [of N4829] are three more faint nebulae".
