Otschakowo ( Russian Очаково , German Groß Kannapinnen , 1938 to 1945 Steinsruh , Lithuanian Didieji Kanapynai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Gusev in Gusevsky District .
Geographical location
Otschakowo is located seven kilometers north of the city of Gussew (Gumbinnen) on the regional road 27A-033 (ex A198 ) in the area of the intersection with the municipal road 27K-153 from Krasnogorskoje (Niebudszen / Herzogskirch) to Priosjornoje (Gerwischkehmen / Gerwen) . The next train station is Gussew on the Kaliningrad – Chernyshevskoye railway line of the former Prussian Eastern Railway to continue to Moscow .
history
The small manor village , later called Canapinnen , consisted of the village and the manor until the end of the 19th century. Only then was the village integrated into the manor district. In 1874 Groß Kannapinnen came to the newly established district of Niebudszen , which - renamed in 1936 as "District of Niebudschen" and in 1938 as "District of Herzogskirch" - belonged to the Gumbinnen district in the Gumbinnen district of the Prussian province of East Prussia until 1945 . In 1910 the place had 117 inhabitants.
On September 30, 1928, Groß Kannapinnen gave up its independence and was incorporated into the rural community of Guddatschen (1938 to 1946: Kleehagen, no longer exists today). On June 3, 1938, Groß Kannapinnen was renamed "Steinsruh".
In 1945 the place came to the Soviet Union as a result of the war with its mother community within northern East Prussia . In 1950 he received the Russian name "Otschakowo" and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Krasnogorski selski Sowet in Gussew Rajon . From 2008 to 2013 Yudino belonged to the rural community Kubanowskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Gusew.

Large cannapines resp. Steinsruh with its majority Protestant population was a parish of the Niebudszen church until 1945 . She belonged to the church district Gumbinnen in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Otschakowo is in the catchment area of the newly created Evangelical Lutheran congregation of the Salzburg Church in Gussew with a parish within the provost of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
