Ilyino ( Russian Ильино , German Bumbeln , Lithuanian Bumbulai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Gusev in Gusevsky District .
Geographical location
Ilyino is nine kilometers northeast of the city of Gussew (Gumbinnen) on the municipal road 27K-153, the Otschakowo (Groß Kannapinnen / Steinsruh) on the regional road 27A-033 (ex A198 ) with the regional road 27A-025 (ex R508 ) south of Kubanowka ( Brakupönen / Roßlinde) connects. The next train station is Gussew on the Kaliningrad – Chernyshevskoye railway line of the former Prussian Eastern Railway to continue to Moscow .
history
The small village, which existed in the early 16th century and was called Bumbeln before 1945, was incorporated into the district of Springen (today Russian: Tamanskoje) between 1874 and 1945 . He belonged to the Gumbinnen district in the Gumbinnen administrative district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .
As a result of the war, Bumbeln came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 . The village was given the Russian name "Ilyino" in 1947 and at the same time was assigned to the village soviet Krasnogorski selski Sowet in Gussew Rajon . From 2008 to 2013 Ilyino belonged to the rural municipality of Kubanovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Gusew.

Before 1945 the majority of the population of Bumbeln was Protestant . The village belonged to the parish of the church Niebudszen in the parish of Gumbinnen within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Ilyino is located in the catchment area of the newly established Evangelical Lutheran parish of the Salzburg Church in Gussew . It is the parish seat and covers the entire eastern Kaliningrad Oblast . It is also part of the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
