Iwaschkino ( Russian Ивашкино , German  Kollatiken , 1938 to 1945 Langenweiler , Lithuanian Kolatiškiai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Gusev in Gusevsky District .

Geographical location

Ivaschkino is ten kilometers southwest of the city of Gussew (Gumbinnen) on the west bank of the Angerapp (Russian: Angrapa). A branch line runs through the village from Gusew to Mayakovskoye (Nemmersdorf) . The next train station is Gussew on the Kaliningrad – Chernyshevskoye railway line of the former Prussian Eastern Railway to continue to Moscow .

history

The small village, formerly known as Kollatiken , was incorporated into the district of Nemmersdorf (today in Russian: Mayakovskoye) between 1874 and 1945 and thus belonged to the Gumbinnen district in the Gumbinnen district of the Prussian province of East Prussia . For political and ideological reasons, on June 3rd - officially confirmed on July 16th - the year 1938 was renamed "Langenweiler".

In 1945 the village came to the Soviet Union as a result of the war with northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name "Ivashkino" and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Mayakovsky selski sovet in Gussew Rajon . From 2008 to 2013 Ivashkino belonged to the rural municipality of Mayakovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Gusew.

The population of Kollatikens resp. Before 1945, Langenweilers was almost without exception a Protestant denomination. The village was parish in the parish of the church Nemmersdorf (Russian: Mayakowskoje), which belonged to the church district Gumbinnen in the church province of East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union .
