Pavlysch (Ukrainian Павлиш ; Russian Павлыш ) is an urban-type settlement in eastern Kirovohrad Oblast in central Ukraine .
The settlement is located south of Kremenchuk about 91 kilometers northeast of the Oblast capital Kropywnyzkyj . The settlement community also includes the villages Brajiliwka ( Браїлівка ) and Shevchenka ( Шевченка ).
The village was founded in 1739 during the settlement of New Serbia ( Нова Сербія ). and named after the municipality of Pavliš in Vojvodina . In 1938 Pavlysch received urban-type settlement status.
In Pavlysch there is a train station on the Borschtschi – Kharkiv railway line . The Ukrainian highway M 22 , which leads from Poltava to Oleksandrija , runs through the village .
