history
Until the churches are founded
Archaeological finds prove Reichling's Roman past. From the neighboring settlement of Epfach ( Abodiacum ), a Roman road ran across a Lechfurt through today's municipal area to the east. A Roman brick kiln was uncovered on the edge of the terrace above the Lech in the 1930s. After the end of Roman rule in the 5th century, Alemannic clans around a Richilo founded the place Reichling. Ludenhausen was created in the course of the first expansion phase in the early Middle Ages.
Reichling was first mentioned in a document in 1080 as Richilingen .
With the beginning of the Wittelsbach rule on the Lechrain in the 13th century, Ludenhausen became part of the Landsberg district court . Reichling came to the Rauhenlechsberg nursing court , which alternately belonged to the Landsberg , Schongau and Weilheim regional courts .
In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , the municipal edict of 1818 created the municipalities of Reichling in the Schongau regional court and Ludenhausen in the Landsberg regional court .
Territorial reform
With the dissolution of the Schongau district on July 1, 1972, Reichling came to the Landsberg am Lech district. At the same time, the previously independent community of Ludenhausen was incorporated into Reichling.

Over the years, the number of members increased to around 130 active and passive members. Local youths are allowed to join from the age of 14. The annual events include the carnival parade, which was replaced by the carnival spectacle in 2000.
