plant

Matysik's artistic concept is based on the assumption that life is in need of improvement and can be optimized through active constructive evolution. Using various materials, he creates models of possible future organisms, the prototype models of post-evolutionary forms of life, examines and creates their habitats. Due to their character as models, they stand between conceptual design and practical implementation. With them, matysics has founded a new genre, its spatial structures are more than just sculpture. As hybrid organisms, they arise both from dealing with Carl von Linné's classification systems and from discussions with scientists in the field of molecular biology research. Matysik's biomorphic prototype models are embedded in a complex elaborated cosmos; Thoughts on the possibilities of the organic and social also become texts, graphics and manifestos.

Matysik also works with living trees and creates plant models, fabric plants for children and drawings of the Indian plant rituals .
