The Rifugio Potzmauer is a privately run refuge in the Fleimstal Alps in Trentino . The hut has 14 beds and is usually open from mid-June to the end of September and on weekends.

location

The hut is located on the orographic right side of the valley of the Cembra valley at 1289  m slm along the ridge that separates the Cembra valley from the Adige valley. It stands in a forest clearing about 400 meters northwest of the Potzmauer Pass ( 1350  m ) on the slope of the mountain ridge that slopes down to the South Tyrolean lowlands in the municipality of Altavalle, close to the border with the South Tyrolean municipality of Salurn . The European long-distance hiking trail E5 and the Sentiero Italia pass by just a few minutes' walk from the Rifugio Potzmauer .
