The Rifugio Passo San Nicolò is a privately run refuge in the Marmolata group in the Dolomites . The hut has 14 beds and is usually open from mid-June to the end of September.

location

The hut, built in 1974, is located in the upper end of the valley of Val San Nicolò, an eastern side valley of the Fassa valley in Trentino , at 2338  m slm connects. In the southeast, the refuge is dominated by the striking, 2670  m high Col Ombert, which was a cornerstone of the Austro-Hungarian front line in the Fassa Valley during the First World War . The Rifugio San Nicolò borders directly on the Natura 2000 reserve Val San Nicolò . The Via Alpina long-distance hiking trail leads past the hut .
