history
The Antermoia hut was built in 1911 by the Fassa section of the German and Austrian Alpine Club (DÖAV). During the First World War, the hut was left to its own devices. After the end of the war, the hut became the property of the SAT, which has been a section of the Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) since 1920 . The hut has been run by the CAI since 1962. In 1981 it was renovated and expanded, the reopening took place in 1982. A further renovation took place between 2014 and 2016, and the bed capacity was increased from 44 to 60 beds. From 1990 to 2016 the hut was managed by the Italian alpinist Almo Giambisi and his wife Fiorenza.
