Robert John Fleming (born November 23, 1854 in Toronto , Ontario - † October 26, 1925 ) was a Canadian businessman, politician and the 27th mayor of Toronto.

Robert John Fleming was the son of Irish immigrants. He attended a public school in Toronto and started his career in the real estate sector. He later moved to the Toronto Railway Company and became its chairman in 1905. Over the course of his career, he became chairman of the board of the Toronto & Niagara Power Company , the Toronto Electric light Company and the Electrical Development Company .

Fleming's political career began as a councilor, of which he was a member from 1886 to 1890. From January 1892 to January 1894 he was mayor of Toronto. He held a second term from January 1896 to August 5, 1887. In 1923 he stood for a third time, but lost to Charles Maguire . In 1894 he was chairman of the National Exhibition Conventio in Montreal . A year later he became president of the Dominion Prohibitory Alliance . In 1921 he was a member of the Toronto Harbor Commission .

Robert John Fleming was married twice and had four sons and five daughters.
