Charles Maguire
Charles Alfred Maguire (born May 24, 1875 in Toronto , Ontario , † October 14, 1949 ) was the 38th Mayor of Toronto.
Maguire began his professional career with the insurance company Maguie & Company and later became vice president of the Hydro-Electric Railway Association . He was on the city council from 1909–12 and 1914–17 . On December 21, 1921, he was elected Mayor of Toronto and held office from January 1922 to January 1924. Charles Maguire was married to Lillian Cusack and had a son with her.
