Ernest Macdonald
Ernest Albert Macdonald (* 1858 in Oswego (New York) , † December 18, 1902 ) was the 30th mayor of Toronto .
Ernest Macdonald immigrated to Brockville, Ontario at a young age and moved to Toronto in the 1880s. He became a member of the St. Matthew Borough Council and ran three unsuccessful mayor's office. On his fourth attempt he was elected mayor and held office from January 1900 to January 1901.
